Popular actor Gift Mokhampanyane - who is known for his role as Fanie in Skeem Saam has joined the cast of SABC2's soapie - Muvhango as Spitjo.

The actor exited the educational soapie in August 2021.

-- GIFT MOKHAMPANYANE'S NEW ROLE SABC2's long-running soapie - Muvhango has announced that former Skeem Saam actor - Gift Mokhampanyane has joined the show to play the character of Spitjo.

He debuted in Muvhango last night at Hangwane's coffee shop Dukathole and had a brief conversation with Mukondeleni.

Fans of the actor are elated to see him back on screen and predict that he'll play a trouble-maker just like he did in Skeem Saam.

FANIE EXITS SKEEM SAAM' #SkeemSaam was devastated when Fanie Maseremule died suddenly as he was a fan-favourite.

Fanie was a master manipulator, a hacking guru, and an IT specialist who could pass through any firewall of any company.

Some viewers have even compared him to Hungani Ndlovu's character (Romeo Medupe) of e.tv's Scandal!.

Fanie discovered Lehasa Maphosa's (Cedric Fourie) darkest family secret and convinced Lehasa to give him shares at Caf Rovuwa.

He hid Lehasa's secret on his hard drive with a password that only he knows.

Lehasa knew the only way to get Fanie off his back was to permanently get rid of him.

He hired some thugs to invade the restaurant and shoot everyone, including Fanie.

Lehasa visited the hospital while Fanie was sedated and finished him off.

Hope he didn t bring abalone with him
