Sound Devices hires five interns, giving them a chance to work on various projects related to the companys popular lines of audio and video equipment.
REEDSBURG, Wis., July 15, 2016 - Here at Sound Devices, we're always on the lookout for the next generation of engineers and computer programmers to join our talented team. But as many of us know, the hardest part for aspiring professionals is to get their foot in the door with a company willing to offer them proper training. Thats why since 2011, Sound Devices has hired summer interns to assist departments such as support, engineering, and QA, getting hands-on real world experience in a team setting.

What started off as an internship program for select, local students at Reedsburg Area High School, has since been expanded to students attending colleges and universities all over southern Wisconsin, including the likes of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Madison Media Institute (MMI), and more.
This year, Sound Devices hired five, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed interns with an interest in electrical engineering, computer science, and other related fields to work on various assignments. The young students are given opportunities to gain practical knowledge with testing equipment and actual professional products, including the Sound Devices lines of audio mixers and recorders, as well as Video Devices on-camera recording monitors.

Wisconsin has a rich history of inventors and manufacturers, said Matt Anderson, CEO of Sound Devices. This internship program is our way of helping to carry on this tradition, and foster the next wave of hard-working, technical-minded engineers here in our home state.
