Filmmaker Tyler Perry revealed in the final episode of the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked him to accept the role in 2021 when Lilibet was born.

According to People Magazine, Tyler said when the parents to Lilibet called him to ask him to be her godfather, they were pretty serious on the phone.

TYLER'S REACTION TO BEING LILIBET'S GODFATHER The Sistas creator said that he said, I go, Okay, what's going on?' They said, Well, we'd like for you to be Lili's godfather.' I go, Whoa,' I had to take a minute to take that in And I thought, I'd be honoured. I'd absolutely be honoured,' he added.

The 53-year-old says after they got off the phone, he called them back with a ton pf question.

I called them back and go, Uh, hold on a second - does this mean we gotta go over [to the U.K.] and do all of that in church with [the royal family] and figure all that out? Cause I don't wanna do that,' he said. Maybe we can do a little private ceremony here [in the U.S.] and let that be that, and if you have to do it there, then that's okay.', reports the publication.

Details about her baptism have been kept private, along with who her godmother might be.

The docuseries which is now streaming with all six episodes on Netflix, features Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their friends speaking out about their perspectives on everything from the couple's wedding to their step back from royal life reports the New York post.
