Samsung unveils new NX30 and Galaxy Camera 2 At its 2014 European Forum, Samsung Electronics announced two additions to its industry leading range of cameras, the NX30 and the Galaxy Camera 2. The NX30 is a professionally-inspired compact system camera delivering high quality images with faster than ever performance. The Galaxy Camera 2, the latest device in the award winning Galaxy Camera line-up, combines the quality imaging of a top of the range camera with the sharing functions associated with smartphones.

Focus on high quality imagery

Capturing high quality shots is guaranteed with the advanced 20.3MP APS-C CMOS Sensor. Delivering images with sharp detail and intense colours, the large sensor is great for creating images with dramatic definition, providing professional powerful, quality imaging. Featuring the Samsung NX AF System II which has fast and accurate auto focusing, this new model ensures those special moments will never be missed.

Capturing fast-paced moments in perfect clarity is now easy to do with the NX30s exceptionally fast 1/8000sec Shutter Speed and the 9 frame per seconds (FPS) Continuous Shooting function. Featuring a unique Tiltable Electronic Viewfinder (XGA, 2.359K-dot resolution) the NX30 also makes it easier than ever to shoot from different perspectives, with the 80 degree tilt meaning that different viewpoints are easier to achieve. With the ability to move up to 180 degrees sideways, and up and down up to 270 degrees, the NX30s 76.7mm (3-inch) Super AMOLED Swivel and Touch Display offers flexible angles great for self shooting' or shooting from awkward angles.

Building on the success of Samsungs market leading SMART CAMERA technology, the NX30s NFC and Wi-Fi capabilities offer the latest in connectivity, making it is easier than ever to take advantage of a host of features. The Tag & Go' function lets you tap and share memories instantly, pairing the NX30 with NFC enabled smartphones and tablets.

The Photo Beam feature allows you to transfer images or videos between smartphones or tablets by simply touching the devices together. MobileLink lets you select multiple images to send to four distinct smart devices at one time making it quicker and easier to share images. AutoShare automatically sends every photo you take instantly to your smartphone or tablet and the Remote Viewfinder Pro function enables you to control NX30 features from a smartphone, allowing you to take pictures remotely opening up new photographic possibilities. With the Remote Viewfinder Pro, manual settings can still be accessed, including shutter speed, so that photographers retain camera control yet have more freedom over how they want to frame their shot.

Dropbox, the popular web storage service, is pre-loaded on the NX30- making it the first camera-specific device to offer direct-to-Dropbox uploading. Additionally, customers in select regions can upload directly to Flickr: another first in a camera-specific device. Using the advanced connected features of the NX30, images can be uploaded automatically meaning photography fans don't have to worry about filling up their camera memory.

The NX30 includes the sophisticated next-generation DRIMeIV Image Processor and a powerful DSP imaging engine that delivers an unrivalled shooting experience with full HD 1080/60p movie capabilities. In addition with OIS Duo technology, steady shots for better movie recording are guaranteed, even while on the move. The introduction of OLED Colour to the NX30's display makes it possible to capture rich landscapes and portraits with natural tones.

Advanced video features make the NX30 the ideal solution for budding film fans searching for a compact yet high performing camera. In addition to Full HD Video Stereo Recording, the NX30 supports a standard 3.5mm microphone input for high quality sound capture while shooting film content. Intuitive design is a central feature of the NX30 and means that preferred camera settings can be accessed quickly through two dedicated Custom Modes on the mode dial. The separate drive dial also provides instant access to a selection of popular modes, including continuous shooting, bracketing and self timer meaning there is no delay in capturing the perfect image.
