NOA Enhances mediARC Archival System to Deliver Even Greater Archive Integrity

NOA today announced an important enhancement to its mediARC archiving solution with the launch of Item History, which enables media archivists to more easily ensure and verify the accuracy of their database. Item History allows cataloguing teams and supervisors to ascertain not only who changed an archive item and when but also, exactly what was changed. This allows users to easily and quickly review previous version of an item in the event that, for example, it was erroneously updated.

With Item History for mediARC, a previous version of an item in the archive is automatically saved whenever a change is made and that provides unlimited traceability of any changes to archival entries, said Christophe Kummer, CEO of NOA . Previously, mediARC users could only see who changed an item and when they did it; Item History provides them with invaluable additional functionality to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the archive.

Existing users will automatically receive Item History as a free upgrade to their installed systems.

Item History will be demonstrated by NOA at IBC Show on stand 8.D91.
