Snell demonstrates SMPTE 2022-6 interoperability with Artel Video Systems at NAB Open standards key to full scale IP routing deployment

12th April 2015: At NAB 2015, Snell demonstrated SMPTE 2022-6 interoperability between Artels DigiLink DLC450 HD-SDI video over IP gateway and Snells IP routing solution in a live display on the Snell booth.

The SMPTE 2022-6 standard defines an IP-based protocol for the transport of real-time, high bit rate video, audio, and ancillary signals over IP networks.

"Since the 2012 release of the SMPTE 2022-6 standard, the industry has been demanding vendor interoperability to enable end-to-end transport and routing of uncompressed video in an IP centric world," said Richard Dellacanonica, president of Artel Video Systems. "The ability of companies, such as Artel and Snell, to interoperate demonstrates that the standard is now well understood and ready for industry adoption and deployment."
