Broadpeak to Speak On Benefits of Multicast ABR and Multi-CDN Technologies at Streaming Media East May 9, 2017 Broadpeak announced that its vice president of marketing, Nivedita Nouvel, will speak at the Content Delivery Summit and Live Streaming Summit, which take place during Streaming Media East in New York City.
How Diversity Adds to a Good Multi-CDN Strategy
as part of the Content Delivery Summit
Monday, May 15 from 1:30 to 1:50 p.m.
Abstract: When it comes to selecting a CDN for your video delivery service, there is never one ideal option that fits every need. The CDN performances vary in time, with the geographic location, with the network service provider used by subscribers. The Content Delivery Summit presentation will examine the benefits of a multi-CDN strategy and focus on how it can be enhanced with technologies that go beyond mere CDN switching.
How Multicast ABR Is Liberating Live TV Delivery to Multiscreen during the Live Streaming Summit
Tuesday, May 16 from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Abstract: Adaptive bitrate (ABR) is a revolutionary technology that has created the ability for over-the-top delivery of video to all screens. But it has one major drawback: The network resources it consumes grow linearly with the audience. The Live Streaming Summit presentation will show how multicast ABR brings true scalability to live multiscreen video distribution, with enhanced Quality of service and a greatly reduced latency.
