El gasto de los consumidores estadounidenses en las 10 mejores aplicaciones m viles de SVoD en App Store y Google Play creci en un 77 por ciento en 2017 pasando de 627 millones de d lares en 2016 a 781 millones en 2017, seg n un estudio realizado por Sensor Tower Store Intelligence.
Si tomamos como referencia solo el cuarto trimestre del a o este crecimiento se eleva hasta un 88%, con unos ingresos de unos 242 millones, frente a los 129 del T4 de 2016.
Netflix lider el gasto de SVoD m vil en los EE. UU. creciendo alrededor de 113% teranual (con unos ingresos que rozan los 300 millones). Si bien el crecimiento de sus ingresos fue impresionante, en realidad fue eclipsado por tres de sus 10 principales aplicaciones: CBS con un crecimiento del 128 por ciento; Starz, 147 por ciento y YouTube, 154 por ciento.
Los ingresos brutos de HBO Now en Estados Unidos se dispararon en aproximadamente 67,3 millones en el tercer trimestre de 2017, durante la emisi n de la s ptima temporada de Game of Thrones, registrando un r cord de un d a de 2,6 millones, pero disminuyeron a alrededor de 53,2 millones en el cuarto trimestre.
En comparaci n con el crecimiento del 77 por ciento de las principales aplicaciones de SVoD, el gasto total de los consumidores en la App Store y Google Play aument alrededor del 30 por ciento el a o pasado, alcanzando aproximadamente 14.400 millones.
En todo el mundo, los ingresos brutos en aplicaciones se acercaron a los 60.000 millones, creciendo un 35 por ciento con respecto a 2016.
