
BACKEntertainment One Announces New Partnerships and Momentum for Ben & Hollys Little Kingdom in the UKLONDON: 4th July 2017 - Entertainment One (eOne) today unveils new partnerships and a fresh toy line for its award-winning preschool property Ben & Holly s Little Kingdom that will expand its presence at retail in the UK.
This summer eOne is partnering with Naturelly to create a new line of Ben & Holly s Little Kingdom Magic Jelly pouches that will launch at UK retail in August 2017. Jelly is a recurring theme in the show and one of the main characters, Nanny Plum, often creates a Jelly Flood with a magic spell. Aimed at kids aged 12 months+, the Magic Jelly is made from natural ingredients and will be available in two flavours; Strawberry and Blackberry inspired by the show s The Fruit Harvest episode which sees Mr Gnome unable to resist eating all the strawberries and blackberries. To support the launch, Naturelly will run exclusive on-pack promotions offering hundreds of Ben & Holly s Little Kingdom goodies including a bicycle, toys, backpacks and DVDs.
The toy category is also gearing up for expansion with master toy partner, Character Options, planning new line extensions for launch in Autumn/Winter 2017. The new range will include figure and accessory packs, refreshed 5 figure packs, new Royal Limousine and new Thistle Castle. Character Options is continuing to proactively support its Ben & Holly s Little Kingdom range this year with significant TV advertising and a new advert for September showcasing the new Thistle Castle and Royal Limousine playsets. Since launch, Character has enjoyed strong retail sales for the property and has sold over 800,000 units across its ranges. The toy line is a consistent performer in the kids space at major UK retailers including Argos, Smyths and Toy s R Us.
This year will also see the expansion of eOne s partnership with Jolly Roger for Ben & Holly s Little Kingdom coin-operated rides. Joining the 200+ rides that are currently located at top-tier retailers and shopping centres, a brand-new ride design will be available from September with an additional 150 new rides expected to be unveiled across the country.

Elsewhere, the successful Ben & Holly s Little Kingdom stage show continues to attract audiences across in the UK. During the show s 2017 run, which concludes on 23rd July, over 80,000 tickets have been sold covering 49 venues across UK and Ireland. The stage show is being supported by a significant marketing spend of £250k alongside a high profile social media campaign.
Ben & Holly s Little Kingdom continues to air daily on Channel 5 s Milkshake in the UK and throughout 2017 has been the most watched programme among viewers aged 4+ with an average of 294k viewers per episode. In addition, the show also ranks as Milkshake s third most watched programme among kids aged 4-6 with an average of 90k viewers per episode in this age group. The property is also highly successful in the publishing category with Penguin reporting sales of £1.6 million in the UK since books launched in 2010.
