Miguel Valladares assumes the Presidency of Zinkia and opens a new phase in the production company The change in control of Zinkia have been increasing Miguel Valladares its shareholding up to 45% of the capital, thus becoming the main shareholder of the company. The new Board of Directors of Zinkia is composed by Miguel Valladares Garcia as President; Alberto Delgado Gavela as CEO; Angel-Martin good Ortiz as Director and legal advisor to the Council; Miguel de Blas Aritio as independent Director and Javier Gaspar Pardo de Andrade as Secretary non member of the Board of Directors.

"This new Council has not approved annual accounts, the management of the outgoing Board of Directors, nor the transfer of assets from the company to a subsidiary in Panama," they say from Zinkia.

In his speech to the general meeting of shareholders, Miguel Valladares has been optimistic about the future of the company, to open up a new stage in which should prevail normal business, the seriousness and rigour in the management.

The challenge for the new Council is to place Zinkia and its most emblematic property, Pocoyo, in turnover and profit levels are in accordance with the position of international importance that currently deals with some of the worlds major markets. And allow, after seven years since his departure to bag, reward the confidence in Zinkia, lost by many shareholders over the years.

Period of transition

Valladares said his firm commitment to defend the interests of all Zinkia, in particular of the minority shareholders. In addition, he said his decision not to charge any fee as long as shareholder of Zinka.

The new Council raises a maximum transition period of six months, until December of this year, to carry out an analysis in depth of the current situation of the company. Until then, the major axes of the activity of the new Council will be to design a Strategic Plan for growth for the next few years; provide the appropriate financial instruments-spreading, prudent and orderly manner, the investment needs of Zinkia for years; exercising a policy of total transparency in relation to decisions and contracts of the company; and take necessary measures to strictly comply with the early proposal of the Convention.
