Ministerpr sident Kretschmann informiert sich ber Forschungskooperation zwischen Schaeffler und KIT
Vor wenigen Tagen blickte Baden-W rttembergs Ministerpr sident Winfried Kretschmann bei Schaeffler in B hl anl sslich des 50-j hrigen LuK-Jubil ums in die Vergangenheit des Unternehmens - heute schaute er in die Zukunft.
Im Rahmen seines Besuches beim Karlsruher Institut f r Technologie (KIT) wurde dem Ministerpr sidenten auch das SHARE (Schaeffler Hub for Automotive Re-search in E-Mobility) am KIT vorgestellt. Er machte sich ein Bild davon, wie breit Schaeffler in Sachen Forschungs- und Bildungskooperationen aufgestellt ist. Begleitet wurde der Ministerpr sident von Theresia Bauer, Baden-W rttembergs Ministerin f r Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst.
Der Ministerpr sident und die Ministerin informierten sich unter anderem ber das Projekt e -Lenk, einer neuartigen energieoptimalen Lenkkraftunterst tzung f r Elektrofahrzeuge. Mit diesem Verbundprojekt zwischen Schaeffler und dem KIT startete das erste gemeinsame ffentlich gef rderte Projekt im Rahmen der For-schungskooperation. Ministerin Bauer beeindruckte insbesondere die intensive Einbindung Studierender in die Projektarbeit.
Ferner besichtigten Kretschmann und Bauer einen Pr fstand, an dem gemeinsam innovative Ans tze f r Radnabenantriebe erforscht werden. In diesem Projekt erg nzen sich ideal das produktbezogene Anwendungswissen von Schaeffler mit den wissenschaftlichen Kenntnissen und Pr feinrichtungen des KIT. Kretschmann be-tonte bei dem Rundgang, wie wichtig die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Industrie und Forschung ist und dass das erarbeitete Wissen gemeinsam genutzt wird.
Schaeffler hat Ende 2012 nach dem Company on Campus Modell eine langfristig angelegte Kooperation mit dem KIT ins Leben gerufen. Diese hat unter anderem zum Ziel, gemeinsam L sungen f r die Mobilit t der Zukunft zu entwickeln. Durch die direkte Pr senz auf dem Campus in Karlsruhe werden Forschungsthemen fr hzeitig im Kontext der Industrialisierung behandelt. Eng vernetzt zwischen KIT und Schaeffler wird geforscht, mit dem Ziel Produktentwicklungen daraus abzuleiten.

Es zeigt die Bedeutung von Schaeffler als f hrendes Technologieunternehmen und wie wichtig die Unterst tzung und F rderung des Landes sowie des Bundes ist, Innovationen voranzutreiben und L sun-gen f r zuk nftige Herausforderungen zu erarbeiten , sagte Dr. Ralf Stopp, Leiter des SHARE am KIT.
Schaeffler feierte am Standort in B hl das 50-j hrige Bestehen der Marke LuK. Im Rahmen eine Feierstunde am 20.06.2015 mit rund 100 geladenen G sten, darunter auch Ministerpr sident Kretschmann, wurde die Ausstellung Die LuK Story. 50 Jahre. Qualit t. Technologie. Innovation. er ffnet. In f nf Themenbereichen gew hrte der Automobilzulieferer einen historisch spannenden und technisch fundierten Blick auf Innovationen, die in der Zeit ihrer Entwicklung ma geblich f r die Weiterentwicklung der Mobilit t waren.
