Absen LED Revamps Hungary's TV2 Studio News Programme posted: 02/05/2017
One of Hungary's most popular television news shows, TV2's Tenyek required a studio redesign as fresh and current as the news it airs, and invested in Absen. The news programme opted for a vast and curved, background surround display, measuring 12.8 metres by 2.4m, to display videos, pictures and graphics relating to the news stories. Comprised of 256 Absen A1.9 Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) LED display panels, the system was supplied and installed by Absen's newly appointed VAP Partner in Hungary, Visual Creative, who will also provide the servicing schedule for the display.
The Absen A1.9 modular display, with its pixel pitch of 1.9 mm and comfortable 160 viewing angle exudes 1000 nit brightness. Its vast and deep colour palette is enhanced by a black, anti-reflection SMD mask. The modules assure colour consistency and uniformity across the display. Thanks to its simple and cable-free, integrated 3-in-1 board design, the Absen A1.9 was easily integrated into the TV studio in a record time.
Competition for the prestigious installation was high, and the Absen A1.9 won head-to-head against three UHD LED display products from other suppliers. The flexibility of the A1.9 screen layout was decisive. Specialist broadcast media server ORAD, drives the content and the studio's graphics experts worked tirelessly in the run up to the installation to ensure that every capability of the display had been fully exploited for the news programme.
According to Ferenc T zs r, managing director at Visual Creative, We have worked using Absen display technology on other shows within the television station, and so our reputation and the positive reviews of the display technology went with us, but the decision to take the Absen A1.9 was based on the total resolution of the display, the clarity of the image, the flexibility of the screen division and the overall ease of installation and maintenance. It was the all-round performance and suitability of this Absen display that won the job for itself!
The installation was carried out by Visual Creative over a two-week period and followed directly on from the main studio overhaul. The consideration of the curved screen alone brings its own challenges, but the Absen A1.9 modules are, as Absen Europe sales manager Shaun Xu comments, very simple to fit together and build.
New adjusting elements were trialled for the hanging solution, ensuring perfect positioning. As soon as the base row was ideally situated using the new prototype elements, the display wall build ran smoothly and as expected.
Commenting on the final solution, Tenyek's T zs r said, We are very pleased with the decision to use Absen. The screen image is so clear and vibrant, which is the quality image we need for the news show content. Visual Creative should also be praised for making the screen installation simple and problem-free for us.
The success of this project was such that Visual Creative has been appointed by Absen Europe as a VAP Partner. As part of the highly trusted and experienced network of resellers, distributors and integrators in Europe, Visual Creative will be able to represent the Absen brand and products with showrooms and roadshows, as well as representating them at exhibitions and fairs.
