Dolby Atmos Brings Chinese Animated Film Kuiba II to Life

Beijing, May 28, 2013-Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) and Vasoon Animation announced today that Kuiba II (release date: May 31, 2013) will be the first Chinese animation mixed and released in Dolby Atmos , the new audio platform that revolutionizes sound in entertainment.

Kuiba II is a production of Vasoon Animation. As an important player in the Chinese animation industry, we are always looking to deliver breakthrough experiences through great storytelling and new technologies. Dolby Atmos will help us use sound to transport audiences right into the world of our Kuiba II, said Wu Hanqing, CEO, Vasoon Animation.

Kuiba II was mixed in Dolby Atmos at the China Film Group studio, the first Chinese postproduction facility equipped in Dolby Atmos.
