mediaClass announces its partnership in a major expansion of Antenna Hungarias online TV service. A new service, mindigTV Go (alwaysTV Go), is being delivered on mediaClass products which have been developed and customised to Antenna Hungarias requirements.
This latest project follows on from Antenna Hungarias launch of the worlds most advanced digital terrestrial television service which was completed in partnership with mediaClass during Q4 2020, says Jim Lomax, SVP sales and marketing for mediaClass. We have designed and integrated a complete product suite for Antenna Hungarias DTT service which is now the most advanced of its kind in the world. The combination of a mediaClass full-feature TV platform and our state-of-the-art SwiftClass high-performance set-top-box software provides the technical resources needed to deliver globally unrivalled DTT services. SwiftClass is the worlds most advanced, complete and economical STB software. It supports 50 fps HD viewing on low-cost Linux STBs in as little as 128 MB RAM.
The mediaClass platform allows Antenna Hung ria to make its mindigTV Go online TV service available on a wide range of devices. A new app developed by mediaClass can now be used on LG and Samsung smart TVs manufactured after 2018, giving viewers access to 14 live TV channels and over 300 stock concerts free of charge. Subscribers to Antenna Hung rias mindigTV Go can also choose additional content from several theme-based packages, including 10 children's channels as well as a video library and sports subscriptions.
In total, the mindigTV Go app provides access to over 80 channels, 34 of which are in HD. The service is supported by full electronic program guide and includes seven-day catch-up TV.
Antenna Hung ria (www.ahrt.he) has been a key player in the Hungarian telecommunications sector for decades. Its main areas of activity are national terrestrial television and radio broadcasting, as well as wireless business telecommunications. As one of the most successful Hungarian-owned information technology companies, the network has been able to show continuous growth in recent years, expanding its programme production and event technology businesses and joining the explosive growth of the OTT and IOT industries.
A product division of Azdio Limited UK, mediaClass (www.mediaclass.tv) offers TV service providers and broadcasters the opportunity to implement full IPTV/OTT multi-screen infrastructure designed for any size deployment. mediaClass platforms feature multi-DRM, easy OSS/BSS integration, advanced CMS, content provisioning, VOD management, DVR and full multi-tenant capabilities. Client software includes superfast IP and hybrid STB software based on Linux and Android, as well as mobile clients for iOS and Android devices. mediaClass also offers full IPTV integrated services for new and legacy multicast-based systems. Highly efficient implementation reduces server power. Tested to ensure over 20 million client devices can be supported, mediaClass systems are already deployed operational in five countries and 10 languages.
