The provincial drive-through baby shower and gift drop that was planned for the Mnakwethu wife, Makhosazana MaShelembe Shelembe has been cancelled.

The baby shower was set to take place at Durban's Botanic Gardens on September 26, and was organised by a group of KwaZulu-Natal women, led by former journalist and consumer activist Ncumisa Ndelu.

MaShelembe touched Mzansi after her husband Bheki Langa, humiliated her on Tuesday's (14 September) episode of Mnakwethu by revealing that he'd already married his mistress, Hlengiwe MaSithole Sithole without her permission.

MaShelembe's cancelled baby shower. Image via Twitter @SAbreakingNews SPA TREATMENT TO BABY SHOWER The group of KwaZulu-Natal women planned to treat MaShelembe to a complete spa treatment, transport in a luxury vehicle from her home in Nquthu, near Dundee, to Durban, and gifts for the baby.

Their plans changed when Ndelu released a statement on Monday (20 Septemebr) that the event had been cancelled because it would clash with another baby shower.

The second baby shower was also planned for MaShelembe on the same day (September 26).

Ndelu stated that she'd first planned a weekend spa treatment for MaShelembe and reached out to MaShelembe after the show aired last week.

The Mnakwethu wife and Ndelu had a verbal agreement and confirmed her availability between September 24 and 26 via a text message.

Ndelu only changed her original idea into a provincial baby shower when MaShelembe informed her she was pregnant, and due in November.

On Friday afternoon she informed me that another baby shower was being planned.

She reassured me that she would attend the Durban baby shower because I had approached her first. I proceeded with the plan.

This morning I requested the name of a school closest to her to enable the driver to find her easily.

She informed me that on Friday she will be travelling to Empangeni.
