(23/01/2014) Grass Valley announced the appointment of Sally Wallington as Regional Director, Northern Europe. Effective immediately, Wallington will assume overall responsibility for managing the business in this key European region and growing market share across all product lines. Wallington brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership skills to her new post, with 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry. She is based in Grass Valley's office at Stockley Park in the UK.
Grass Valley has also recently appointed Vincent Eade as Sales Manager, Northern Europe. Reporting directly into Sally, Vincent will be responsible for driving sales in the UK and other parts of Europe.
Following a successful year in 2013 and as we continue to foster new sales across Europe, specifically in the UK, we're delighted to welcome Sally to our team, remarked Said Bacho, Senior Vice President, EMEA, Grass Valley. We are confident that she has the leadership skillset to successfully drive our business in the Northern Europe region along with her sales team specifically in the UK, Ireland, Nordics, Benelux, as well as South and Central Africa.
Wallington comes to Grass Valley from Harris Broadcast, where she served as Regional Director, UK, Ireland and South Africa for the past five years. Prior to that position, Wallington served as Harris' Director of Professional Services and Support, EMEA. She has also held various broadcast-related roles at Channel Ten Television, Australia, as well as Channel 4 and Flextech in the UK.

I'm eager to help Grass Valley further define its strategy and am looking forward to working with such a capable and dynamic team.
Wallington holds a Linguistics degree from University College London.
