NL Film to produce a local version of US hit This is Us

Leading Dutch scripted producer NL Film, part of Endemol Shine Netherlands, is pleased to announce that it will create a local 16 50' adaptation of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation's Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning serial-drama This Is Us, entitled Dit Zijn Wij for KRO-NCRV.

Dit Zijn Wij will focus on couple Anna (Fockeline Ouwerkerk) and Johan (Vincent van der Valk) and Katja (Esm e van Kampen), Kasper (Kay Greidanus) and Edgar (Romano Haynes), as they search for love and fulfillment, revealing how the tiniest events in our lives impact who we become, and how the connections we share with each other can transcend time, distance and even death. It will be written by Inge Nirvana and Pauline van Mantgem and directed by Mark de Cloe and Simone van Dusseldorp. Production will commence this summer for TX later this year.

The original US version, created by Dan Fogelman and starring Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley is now in its third series in the States.

Recent critically acclaimed NL Film productions include The Resistance Banker which has sold to Netflix, Floor Rules which is broadcast in Germany, Belgium, France, French speaking Africa, Denmark, Austria and Switzerland, Emmy award-winning series' Rhubarb and Kasper and the Christmas Angels, as well as global-hit Penoza which is currently being adapted as a feature length film. Endemol Shine Netherlands scripted hits also include The Oldenheim Twelve which has now sold in Russia, Japan and to Acorn TV in the US and is in production for a second series for RTL4.

Forthcoming Non-English language scripted series across Endemol Shine Group include Ce soir-l from France (France 2), The Ibis Trilogy from India and the UK, Norway's Beforeigners (HBO Europe), Sweden's Beartown (HBO Europe), Spain's The Idhun Memories (Netflix), Germany's second series of Dark (Netflix) as well as recent Spanish hits Cathedral of the Sea (Antena 3/ TV3/Netflix) and Matadero (Antena 3), France's Insoupconnable (TF1) and Guyanne (Canal+), Italy's While I Was Away (Rai 1) and Poland's Our Century (TVP1).
