TVUPack Enables Somoy TV to Break Critical National News, Go Live From More Locations

At the conference, visitors will learn why the largest broadcasters around the world rely on TVUPack every day to transmit video of important breaking news and events. TVUPack solutions will be on display at three different locations in the show. Visitors to the STI Telecom booth (B23) will see demonstrations of the TVUPack TM8200 and TVUPack Mini, visitors to the BrasVideo booth (E5/6) will see demonstrations of the TVUPack TM8100 and visitors to the Sony Brazil booth (F26) will see demonstrations of TVUPack MiniSE.
TVUPack TM8200 offers broadcasters, videographers and camera crews the worlds smallest, lightest and most powerful mobile wireless 3G/4G/LTE uplink solution available in a backpack. TVUPack Mini is the perfect solution for broadcasters, production crews, news agencies and independent videographers to capture and broadcast live professional-quality video. Weighing less than a kilogram, TVUPack Mini can be mounted directly to a camera or used in a belt-mount configuration. TVUPack Mini SE is a variant of the TVUPack Mini purpose-built specifically for Sony XDCAM camcorders.
TVUPack is powered by TVUs proprietary Inverse StatMux technology, which dynamically segments a live video signal and transmits the segments through multiple independent 3G/4G/LTE, WiFi, WiMax, BGAN, Ka Band/Ku Band satellite and microwave connections, aggregating all available bandwidth to ensure a resilient transmission and superior picture quality. TVUPack features unique dual encoding capabilities - the ability to simultaneously transmit a live video stream while separately recording the video in HD for store-and-forward. It also has one button operation, fast start up and is fully modular, giving field crews a powerful and flexible broadcast tool that can deliver live professional quality video from practically any location.
