MLB Network Plans Wall-to-Wall Coverage of 0 Trade Deadline

MLB Networks countdown to the Trade Deadline is underway, with more than 17 hours of live coverage planned leading up to Wednesdays 4:00 p.m. ET deadline, including a six-hour MLB Tonight: Trade Deadline Special starting at 11:00 am ET on July 31. MLB Network will also air a two-hour Trade Deadline edition of MLB Tonight tomorrow, Tuesday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. ET, plus dedicated segments throughout The Rundown, MLB Now and Intentional Talk. MLB Networks Trade Deadline coverage is presented by Old Spice.

MLB Network Insiders Peter Gammons, Jon Heyman and Ken Rosenthal will provide live trade updates across all of MLB Networks Trade Deadline programming, while analysts Larry Bowa, Sean Casey, John Hart, Kevin Millar, Dan Plesac, Harold Reynolds, Mitch Williams and Tom Verducci will react to and break down trades as they happen and interview general managers from across the league. Gammons, Heyman and Rosenthal will once again have live cameras positioned inside their offices at MLB Network throughout the day on Wednesday, and MLB Networks stable of correspondents, including MLB.coms Richard Justice, USA Today columnist Bob Nightengale, Chicago Tribune columnist Phil Rogers and New York Post columnist Joel Sherman, will be on hand in-studio and via Cisco Ballpark Cam to report any breaking news from throughout MLB.

In addition, MLB Network will recap the biggest trades from the 2012 Trade Deadline, including the blockbuster nine-player trade between the current AL East leader Boston Red Sox and NL West first-place Los Angeles Dodgers that saw Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez and Nick Punto head from Boston to Los Angeles in exchange for Ivan DeJesus Jr., Rubby De La Rosa, James Loney, Jerry Sands and Allen Webster.

Throughout the day on July 31, MLB Network will produce an on-screen social media ticker that will display the latest news from MLB Networks insiders and reporters throughout the league and tweets including #tradedeadline.
