Eurofins Digital Testing Acquires Swedish-based Labatus

Labatus acquisition enables Eurofins Digital Testing to better meet the testing and quality assurance needs of worldwide operators

Eurofins Digital Testing also opens advanced test center in Gdansk, Poland

Brussels -- August 24, 2016 -- Ahead of IBC2016, Eurofins Digital Testing, a global leader in end-to-end quality assurance (QA) and testing services (formerly Testronic Labs Belgium and Digital TV Labs), today announced it has acquired Labatus, to strengthen its ability to help accelerate and reinforce deployment of multiplatform TV and video services for operators around the globe. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Labatus offers automated test development, planning and strategy solutions for TVs, set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, and applications across iOS, Chromecast and Android platforms. Its tailor-made test solutions complement Eurofins Digital Testing's suite of products and services aimed at ensuring quality-of-service for service providers. Both companies specialise in creating automated test suites that can be carried out either at the customer's premises or offsite labs. As part of the acquisition, Eurofins Digital Testing gains additional offices in Sweden and other locations globally. In addition, the company will benefit from Labatus' experience supporting companies like TiVo on operator deployments such as Com-Hem in Sweden, and others.
