Sin embargo, el n mero de abonados se increment en medio mill n, superando ya los 6 millones de suscriptores. Esta tendencia evidencia un descenso en el ingreso medio por abonado. El 84% de la facturaci n en tv de pago procede de los servicios prestados por Movistar+ (1.574 millones de euros), operador que mejor su cifra de 2015 en 300 millones. La plataforma de Telef nica cerr 2016 con 3,6 millones de abonados registrando un descenso de m s de 200.000 usuarios.
Por su parte, Vodafone y Orange incrementaron el n mero de abonados. En el caso de la filial brit nica esta subida represent el 32% (1,27 millones de usuarios y 178 millones en facturaci n), mientras que la francesa sum en 2016 184.000 nuevos abonados (alcanzando los 493.000 abonados) y duplic sus ingresos rozando los 56 millones de euros.
