Garden City Studios Gives New Alternative to Long Island-based TV Guests

A new studio has opened in Long Island, giving TV networks and guests who don't want to deal with having to travel into and out of Manhattan from Long Island an easy alternative that saves time and money.

As they say time is money' and the convenience of Garden City Studios affords us the ability to save and generate both, says co-founder, Richard J. Zito, who is also a partner at Flynn Zito Capital Management.

The 8 16-foot studio has an Azzurocam Production System with Lite Panel lighting, and HD camera, a four-input audio mixer with two Sennheiser lav mics, and a touchscreen controller. A 55-inch monitor can display images and graphics behind the guest and a green room is also available along with a makeup person who is on call.

What we're really selling is close proximity to the parkways and being only 15-20 minutes from JFK and LaGuardia, says Ron Rosenthal, Garden City Studios, president and co-founder. And whether the client is an athlete, celebrity, politician or even an executive looking to do a satellite media tour or corporate video it doesn't matter.

The studio is also on the LTN Global Network, providing diverse paths of connectivity to transmission hubs like Azzuro or The Switch, both in Manhattan. Those hubs can, in turn, get the signals to nearly any TV network in Manhattan and beyond.

Studio co-founder Doug Flynn, a partner at Flynn Zito Capital Management, is one executive who is already benefitting from the studio. Flynn is a frequent on-air contributor for networks like CNN, Fox Business, and CNBC and he has spent plenty of time going back and forth between his office and TV studios in Manhattan. He would often be in a flash studio on a totally separate floor from the talent and he realized he could just as easily do it from his office. The idea for Garden City Studios was born.

Gaining three to four hours back in my day by conducting televised interviews right here in Garden City, and not having to spend time on the road sitting in traffic, provides tremendous value to me and my business, says Flynn.

With one studio up thoughts turn to what is next for the facility. It's already busy and demand is rising.

And we have room for expansion, adds Rosenthal.
