Rising Sun Pictures DFX Supervisor Adam Paschke will discuss the studio's ground-breaking work on the recent film X-Men: Days of Future Past at EB Games Expo this Sunday in Sydney.
In a session titled EXCLUSIVE X-MEN, Paschke will discuss the creative and technical challenges RSP faced in creating the film's time-bending Pentagon Kitchen sequence where Quicksilver (Evan Peters) uses his hyper-speed abilities to wreak havoc on military security. Paschke will reveal how the visual effects team literally made time stand still using an astonishing blend of live action, computer-generated objects and visual effects.
The session will be hosted by film critic and television personality Giles Hardie and will also include a live webcam interview with actor Sean Ashmore, who plays Iceman in the X-Men franchise. A screening of X-Men: Days of Future Past will follow Paschke's presentation.
EB Games Expo is Australia's largest video game event, featuring the biggest names in gaming on massive interactive booths. Attendees have an opportunity to play the latest video games, watch live shows and presentations, and connect with other like-minded gamers. The event is held at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, October 3-5.
