The solution for special effects Fusion of Blackmagic Design will be starting from now available for platforms Linux.
Now users can choose the computer platform they prefer, since the program is available for Mac OS X, Windows or Linux computers. In this way, it will be possible to work collaboratively with other artists in the same project regardless of the operating system you use.
Blackmagic also announced that Fusion 8.2 can be downloaded free of charge, so that the users have the possibility to start using the program immediately.
This version of the program (for the moment, in Beta version) can be used in any commercial project without any restriction. However, Fusion 8.2 Studio offers a greater number of benefits and is available for just a thousand dollars. This Edition provides an unlimited number of render nodes and other tools to work in collaboration. The most remarkable aspect of Fusion Studio is that additional charges are not required to maintain the validity of the license, store content on the Internet or buy more nodes.
Linux, Mac OS X and Windows
Thanks to the compatibility with Linux, Mac OS X and Windows, the producers have the possibility of carrying out projects in different operating systems and integrating Fusion into the dynamics of work through the use of programming such as Python and Lua languages. On the other hand, the created files can be opened on any of these platforms, which gives users greater flexibility.
Fusion has been one of the favorite tools of Hollywood in terms of special effects and graphics animations for more than 25 years, and has been used in thousands of feature films and television projects, among which Mars, Thor, At the edge of tomorrow and the trilogy of The hunger games, among others.
