The Colm Hayes Show Wants To Know Whats Your Big Idea ? 18 February: The Colm Hayes Show teams up with business advisors Grant Thornton to turn your business idea into a reality.

What's your big idea? This is the question being put to budding businesspeople by RT 2fm's The Colm Hayes Show, in association with Ireland's fastest growing business advisory firm, Grant Thornton.

From Monday 18 February, The Colm Hayes Show will be inviting listeners to submit their big ideas via the online application form on www.2fm.ie/colmhayes. The closing date for submissions is midnight on Thursday, 28 February.

After the closing date, entries will be whittled down and three final applicants will be selected - each of whom will go on to be mentored by business experts Grant Thornton and supported by The Colm Hayes Show, as the programme follows their progress every step of the way.

The winning three contestants will receive the best possible advice, over a period of three months, as their idea is nurtured from conception to reality.

Colm Hayes says: This country is such a fertile ground for new ideas and creativity across all aspects of life. It is so exciting to think that, over the next few months, we will be able to give the best possible help to three budding entrepreneurs to try and advance their big idea. That is what this country needs. Success breeds success. I am sure we will find some wonderfully energetic people with a passion to succeed and offer them all the help we can.

Speaking at the launch of the What's Your Big Idea?' campaign, Kevin Foley, head of start-ups at Grant Thornton, said: We work closely with start-ups and small businesses because these are the big companies of the future. We see, first hand, how important it is to support and foster start-ups and budding entrepreneurs. As well as supporting local commerce, their success is essential to Ireland's economic growth. We often meet people who have a great business idea or product but don't quite know how to get it in motion. We are delighted to be involved with What's Your Big Idea?' and we look forward to seeing some exciting submissions.
