Netflix It has closed an exclusive agreement with the Mexican director Manolo Caro, creador de la popular serie original de Netflix The House of Flowers with blockbusters like perfect strangers and Immoral life of the ideal partner. El acuerdo contempla que Caro desarrolle nuevos proyectos de televisi n exclusivamente para Netflix.
Actualmente, Manolo Caro est trabajando en la segunda y tercera temporada de The House of Flowers and the next project to be launched as part of the agreement is Someone has to die, serie limitada de tres episodios situada en la Espa a de 1950, creada por Manolo Caro, escrita por Monika Revilla, Fernando P rez y Manolo Caro y producida por Rafael Ley, Mar a Jos C rdova, Carlos Taibo y Manolo Caro. La historia comienza cuando un joven, tras ser llamado por sus padres, debe regresar de M xico a casa para conocer a su prometida, pero el pueblo queda sorprendido cuando regresa acompa ado de L zaro, un misterioso bailar n de ballet. Para poder adelantarse al gobierno opresor, el grupo se da cuenta de que alguien tiene que morir.
El gran talento que tiene Manolo Caro para contar historias nicas, personales y al mismo tiempo relevantes, lo convierte en una de las voces m s interesantes y divertidas de su generaci n. Su visi n creativa transforma sus trabajos en mosaicos llenos de riqueza cultural y social de M xico que traspasan fronteras, como se puede ver en el xito de La casa de las flores, la cual ha enamorado a audiencias desde M xico hasta los Pa ses Bajos , ha asegurado Francisco Ramos, vicepresidente de contenidos originales para Latinoam rica y Espa a en Netflix. Manolo Caro es director, productor y guionista de cine y teatro. En 2013 debut como director de cine con la adaptaci n de su obra de teatro No s si cortarme las venas o dej rmelas largas y a este proyecto le siguieron los largometrajes: Amor de mis amores, Elvira, would give you my life but Im using and Immoral life of the ideal partner. Caro es el primer director mexicano en aparecer por tres a os consecutivos en el Top Ten de taquilla mexicana. En 2018 dio el salto a la televisi n realizando la serie original de Netflix The House of Flowers.
Together with the producer Rafael Ley, he founded the production company NOC Noc Cinema que se ha posicionado como un referente en comedia inteligente donde el manejo de la est tica es primordial, las historias son universales, los personajes son tridimensionales y los actores que les dan vida comparten la misma visi n.
