HDBaseT Alliance Will Demo Primeview s New Super Narrow Gap Video Wall Solution at NAB Show 04

The HDBaseT Alliance booth at the 2014 NAB show will feature the first-ever public demonstration of Primeview's newest HDBaseT-enabled Super Narrow Gap 55 LED LCD video wall solution. The Primeview engineering team has managed to reduce the bezel gap by 40 percent, making it the industry's thinnest display bezel at a nearly seamless 3.6 mm. This unique design and HDBaseT integration make it ideal for video walls in broadcast control rooms and studios. NAB Show attendees can see a demonstration of a 2x2 video wall at the Alliance's booth .

The HDBaseT technology, powered by the Valens chipset, enables all-in-one connectivity between HD video sources and remote displays through a single 100 meter CAT5e/6 cable that delivers uncompressed high definition video, audio, Ethernet, control signals and up to 100 watts of power. This significantly reduces the costs and complexities of any project because installers only need to spend time running one standard CAT cable, which is less expensive than other cabling options and much easier to terminate in the field.

The Primeview Super Narrow Gap 55 (PRV55SNG) indoor FHD LED LCD industrial display bezel measures only 2.35mm on the top and left sides and 1.25mm on bottom and right sides, and can work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the most demanding environments.

To realize such a slim bezel, the panel utilizes an eco-friendly LED lighting which significantly minimizing the number of components normally required. Additionally, the design reduces heat load while also improving access to the I/O connectivity board.

We were the first company in the world to integrate HDBaseT into a display, and NAB attendees will see a display that is both visually striking and much easier for professional installers to incorporate into studios and broadcast centers, said Chanan Averbuch, Vice President of Sales at Primeview USA. Cable management and the limitations of traditional connectivity technologies can make a project complicated or cause problems. Integrating HDBaseT into the display makes the installation much simpler, and that in turn translates into cost-savings for the customer.
