Spitfire Audio introduce limited-edition Aperture library

New string library will be available for one weekend only!

Spitfires new string library is only available for a limited time.

As hinted in the December 2019 edition of SOS, published today, Spitfire Audio are releasing Aperture, a new NKS-compliant 5GB orchestral strings library, next weekend - and next weekend only!

The idea behind Aperture was to create a string library that could produce both small and intimate and gigantic, full-on sonic textures. Layers of string samples are set up in the accompanying plug-in instrument so that as playback velocity and modulation parameters increase, the samples being played back crossfade from extremely quiet solo string instrument recordings (newly made expressly for Aperture) to sounds taken from Spitfires standard Solo Strings library, to intimate quintet recordings taken from Spitfire Chamber Strings, and then all the way up to recordings of a 60-piece symphonic string section (taken from last years Symphonic Strings release). According to Spitfire, the underlying concept was of a camera progressively and continuously changing its aperture settings - hence the librarys name - moving from a shallow depth of field tightly focused on one aspect of a composition, to a wide-angle shot that encompasses everything.

Aperture will be exclusively available to anyone who spends over £299$349 at the Spitfire website over the Black Friday weekend (Thursday November 28th to Tuesday December 3rd).
