LITE SECOND NETFLIX SPANISH ORIGINAL SERIES COMING TO NETFLIX IN 2019

Madrid, Spain, July 13, 2017 - Netflix, the world's leading internet TV network, continues its strong investment in European content with the announcement of the development and production of lite, a new Spanish language drama series that will be released globally in 2019.

Created by two leading Spanish TV writers, Carlos Montero (El comisario, The Time in Between and creator of Physical or Chemical) and Dar o Madrona (G nesis, La chica de ayer and co-creator of the very successful show The Protected), lite will be executive produced by Zeta Audiovisual (Ahora o Nunca, Three Steps Above Heaven, I Want You). The first season will consist of 8 episodes and will be entirely shot in 4K.

Las Encinas, the best and most exclusive school in Spain where the elite send their children to study, is also where three working class kids have just been admitted after their academy was destroyed by an earthquake and the local council divided up the students between the different schools in the area. The clash between those who have everything and those who have nothing to lose creates the perfect storm that ultimately ends in a murder. Who is behind the crime?

lite will release globally only on Netflix in 2019.
