Hebrew is not only an ancient biblical alphabet (Paleo Hebrew), but it is the only language in history ever to be restored, as predicted in scripture:

For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the LORD, to serve Him with one accord.

Zephaniah 3:9 (NKJV) Remarkably, the preceding verse contains every letter of the Hebrew aleph bet (alphabet). There is no other verse in Scripture that does this!

The design of this language is special in that each letter carries a meaning into the word it makes up i.e., individual letters affect the meaning of the root word that it forms.

Thus, for those eagerly seeking God through His word, if we can discover the root meaning of Scripture through ancient Hebrew, we will discover great and unsearchable truths that we do not know (Jeremiah 33:3).

The meaning behind God's instructions For example, in Numbers 15:37-40, the Lord spoke to Moses instructing him to tell the Israelites to make tassels (TZI-TZIT in Hebrew) on the corners of their garments, to help them remember all the commands of the LORD, that they may obey them and be consecrated to God.

The root word for tassels is TZIT and it means blossom .

Just as a blossom (TZIT in Hebrew) is a sign that fruit is being produced, so the tassels (TZI-TZIT) were to be a reminder to be holy and to grow closer to Him in order to bear fruit in and out of season.

Jesus was wearing this type of garment when the woman who had been bleeding for years, touched the fringe of His garment and was healed! (Luke 8:43-48).

The beauty of bearing fruit (blossoming), means that we become more and more Christlike, thereby bringing healing to the broken, dying world around us.

and provide for those who grieve in Zion-to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Isaiah 61:3 (NIV) I find deep fascination in God's myriad of deeper meanings in simple everyday words and situations. He is extremely practical in that He usually uses our real world to give us spiritual knowledge e.g., the parables. In Matthew chapters 5 to 7, we see Jesus using simple examples to enable us to understand His Kingdom principles e.g., being salt of the earth ; look at the birds ; consider the lilies etc.

The Bible is full of word plays, puns, and rhymes. If we are eager, there are ALWAYS deeper hidden truths to learn which enable us to marvel at the awesomeness of God.

Hebrew names have great significance, signifying one's calling and destiny from the beginning.

JESUS in Hebrew is YESHUA which means GOD SAVES Yeshua HaMashiach means Jesus Christ (where Mashiach is simply the Hebrew word for messiah , which means, the Anointed One).

In Luke 1, the archangel Gabriel tells Mary to name her son Yeshua, meaning salvation. An angel also tells Joseph You shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21-22).

I delight greatly in the LORD; MY soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Isaiah 61:10 (NIV) PRAYER Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of you, Oh God! How unsearchable your judgments, and your paths beyond tracing out! (Romans 11:33). We stand in awe of you, Oh Holy God to whom all praise is due and lift our voice in praise, singing:

You are beautiful beyond description, too marvelous for words. Too wonderful for comprehension, like nothing ever seen or heard

Who can grasp Your infinite wisdom, who can fathom the depths of Your love You are beautiful beyond description, Majesty, enthroned above

Amen.
