NEW RUN OF RT'S ALVA'S WORLD STARTS TOMORROW ON SAFER INTERNET DAY

Ahead of Safer Internet Day, RT is proud to bring a brand new series of Alva's World to RT jr. Starting tomorrow, Tuesday 8 February, the series produced by Irish company Kavaleer will continue to navigate life online for pre-schoolers in a fun and engaging way. The first run of the series debuted last year and this new series of 26 episodes airs daily on RT jr at 9am, 12.50pm and 5.50pm. Alva's World is also on RT Player.

Alva's World is a fun, irreverent and first of its kind animated show for pre-school kids which aims to create a new canon of fables for the digital age, placing internet safety, empathy, and media literacy at the heart of its inventive and whimsical storytelling.

At a time when many younger children are online more than ever before, Alva's World explores themes that have been developed in conjunction with CyberSafe Kids and Crandall Consulting in the format of magical tales to teach kids about appropriate behaviour online, including interaction, as well as preparing them for common childhood problems they may encounter through social media.

Since launching on RT jr in September 2021, Alva's World has gone on to screen on SkyKids (UK), MBC Shahid (Arabia), Kids Network Television (Baltics, Russia), YLE (Finland) and ABC (Australia) with a US launch slated for April 2022.

In this new series, Alva discovers that posting negative comments online can sour an otherwise happy event- and some people- namely the Trolls, like nothing more than ruining things for everyone. She discovers that using someone's picture online without getting permission first can be a really bad idea. And she learns a thing or two about being an ally online, even when everyone else is being mean.
