CHANTELLE STURT TO JOIN VIZ MEDIA AS DIRECTOR OF PUBLICITY, PUBLIC RELATIONS - A NEW DEDICATED BUSINESS FUNCTION
NEW YORK, NY, December 9, 2019 Chantelle Sturt will join VIZ Media where she will lead a new dedicated Public Relations department as Director of Publicity, Public Relations. The news of Ms. Sturt's appointment and the creation of the new department were announced today by Brad Woods, Chief Marketing Officer, VIZ Media.
The department will draw on Chantelle's creative expertise and strengths in media communications and campaign planning as well as her passion for publishing and long history promoting authors, artists, and high-profile personalities. Her appointment will lead the publicity and public relations strategies across multiple functions at VIZ Media including books, anime, digital and streaming products, interactive gaming, and home entertainment.
Chantelle's diverse experience and success demonstrates her ability to take what is happening in today's culture and news and create promotional campaigns that not only cut through the noise but which translate into profitable projects that endure, said Brad Woods. I am thrilled that this dynamic and engaged leader will now bring her talents to VIZ Media.
Ms. Sturt began her publicity career in 2005 as communications and marketing coordinator with the Australian Football League before moving into television with NBC international affiliate, Nine Network Australia. She joined Penguin Books Australia in 2010, where she led the publicity department before moving to New York City in 2014 to manage emerging projects with some of the world's biggest thought-leaders including Jamie Oliver, Arianna Huffington, Rachel Zoe, Randi Zuckerberg, and Matthew Kelly.
