TLC s search for its next African presenter is back. This year the entertainment TV channel, in association with Colgate Optic White, is looking for that person who has the winning style and showbiz smile to land the chance to present TLC S Most Extreme, a brand new, four-part series coming to TLC Entertainment (DStv 135) in 2017. Featuring some of the most hilarious, gripping and outrageous moments from TLC s history, TLC S Most Extreme will be a platform to launch a new presenting talent to DStv subscribers across Africa.

From Monday 25 July to Monday 22 August, TLC fans from across the continent will be invited to submit a 90 second video audition via the Next Great Presenter website, showcasing their presenting skills and explaining why they have what it takes to be the perfect presenter. Candidates will also need to read a pre-written script to camera, details of which, plus full entry criteria, can also be found on the website.

Last year, more than 1500 TLC fans from across the continent entered the competition, and after 60 000 votes, Namibia s David Mbeha was crowned the winner.

The competition is set to be even bigger this time, with a special one off documentary about the winner and more amazing prizes up for grabs, including a luxury holiday for two, plus the opportunity to travel to London to film the four part series in one of TLC s studios.

ZAlebs are the official media partner for Next Great Presenter in 2016 and will be closely following the competition including access-all-areas and backstage exclusives from the boot camp and live finale. ZAlebs will also be adding its showbiz expertise to this year s judging panel along with executives from TLC, DStv and Colgate.

The success of TLC s Next Great Presenter 2015 exceeded our expectations in every way and we are extremely excited to roll the competition out for a second year and amplify it further though our partnership with Colgate Optic White, said Lee Hobbs, VP of Channels, Emerging Business, Discovery Networks CEEMEA. This year, we will be looking for contenders who were made to be in front of the camera; with the enthusiasm, charisma, style and smile needed to make our TV screens light-up and join the likes of Buddy, Randy and Oprah in the TLC hall of fame. That is no mean feat, but we know our African viewers will take up the challenge and show us what they ve got.

Over the years the ZAlebs audience has begged incessantly for one thing: A presenter search. It gives us great pleasure to be teaming up with TLC on their exciting journey to uncover some of the biggest talent on the continent. Each video audition will be reviewed by a team of experts, and the top twelve will be taken on to the boot camp stage, where three finalists will be selected by the panel of judges. In the end it will be up to the TLC viewers to vote for their favourite finalist, with the winner set to be revealed live at an event in Johannesburg later this year.
