EBS introduces updated Pawa at IBC 2016 --

EBS, full-service provider of EPG data for platforms and channels worldwide, is unveiling the latest version of its Pawa scheduling application at IBC 2016, to be held in Amsterdam between 9 and 13 September. Pawa now provides channels and platforms with new services that significantly ease the pressure associated with multiple metadata and image distribution.

Standardisation has long been a topic in all industries, not least in the media. Whilst industry bodies and platform operators are keen to benefit from reduced manual processing, this is often difficult to implement. The advent of connected platforms has seen a significant increase in data requirements, which can be quite challenging for channels to manage. As companies seek to reduce the number of files they have to produce or accept, and therefore benefit from a reduction in associated costs, platforms are requesting additional metadata and images in different shapes and sizes.

A central metadata storage solution accessible through a browser, Pawa allows teams across an organisation to login and add or retrieve information, helping to ensure that everyone has access to all of the data, all of the time. EBS Pawa application allows content owners to easily adapt their EPG data requirements to meet the data workflow needs of any content distribution platform, in any country. It ensures that media companies can control brand consistency across all channels, regardless of where content is accessed. This means that viewers can rely on the channel to deliver the quality of programmes that they expect.

We first launched Pawa at IBC two years ago and in that time the services that we provide have grown significantly to fit with our customers requirements.
