Hollywood's brightest stars came together at the 2022 BET Awards on Sunday 26 June at the Los Angeles Microsoft Theatre to celebrate achievers in music, film, television and sports. Attendees and viewers were treated to a few surprise appearances and magical performances all around. Silk Sonic, made up of American musos Anderson Paak and Bruno Mars, were the biggest winners of the evening with three awards.

LIZZO OPENS BET AWARDS WITH ABOUT DAMN TIME' Before BET Awards hostess Taraji P Henson welcomed guests and viewers to the awards show, Grammy-winning singer Lizzo opened the show with her chart-topping hit About Damn Time.

Lizzo stunned in a gold sequence outfit and played a few bars on her flute before blowing the audience away with her vocals and dance moves.

JACK HARLOW AND BRANDY HIT THE STAGE TOGETHER American rapper Jack Harlow hit the stage with R&B legend Brandy to perform Harlow's hit, First Class, from his second studio album, Come Home the Kids Miss You. This comes after Brandy delivered her own freestyle verse on the track in May.

The crowd got up on their feet as Jack Harlow kicked off the performance and roared when Brandy joined him on stage to perform her freestyle verse on First Class.

Thanking the crowd following the performance, Harlow referred to Brandy as a legend.
