6 agricultural leading enterprises identified in Yuyao County

Recently, the Guohui Pickles Factory in Simen Town of Yuyao County has been identified as another leading agricultural enterprise in Ningbo after the examination and approval of Ningbo Industralization Leading Group Office. It is learned form Yuyao Agriculture and Forestry Bureau that so far 116 enterprises in Yuyao County have been identified as leading agricultural enterprises at all levels, including 10 with the output value fo above 100 million yuan, in such fields as pickles, tea and rice production.

Over the past few years, the county has actively cultivate and develop the leading agricultural enterprises to guide the farmers to carry out standardized production, improve the organization, and accelerate the transformation from the traditional agriculture to large-scale profit-oriented modern agriculture, in the hope of transforming the resources advantage to economic advantage and realize the win-win situation for agriculture and enterprises.

To cultivate quality enterprises and give full play to the driving effect of the leading enterprises. On the one hand, the county has been actively developing the leading agricultural enterprises with close relation with stable industries, high market competitiveness and large business scale, to lead to the basic, scale, professional and standard agricultural production. On the other hand, by establishing the modern enterprise system and optimizing the internal administration and production procedures, the county aims to solve such problems as the low relevance of agricultural industries and low added-value of products and realize the transformation from farm human resources to human assets, from private investment to private capital and from land resources to land assets, in accordance with the principles of new-style industrialization and intensive development.

To cultivate new enterprises and give full play to the linkage effect of the leading enterprises. By cultivating new industries, Yuyao County has exploited the inner potential of agriculture, and helped farms to get profit from the land by means of farm entrepreneurship, lengthen of agricultural industrial chain and regulated development of the specialized agricultural cooperatives. Meanwhile, the county has adjusted various market elements to develop the agriculture on a deeper and broader basis through a series services such as technological support, standard development, market expansion and policy support. By developing and producing bamboo charcoal-related products, the Xingda Coal has found a new route for the bamboo industrial transformation and upgrading. On the basis of its large-scale chicken farming, Zhejiang Hengda Agriculture has independently developed the first SPF sterile egg.

In the meantime, based on the scientific advance and thinking innovation, the county has guided the enterprises to reform the traditional industry by adopting high technology. The traditional aquatic industry has developed from the single breeding industry to the branding, leisure, entertainment and catering industries. And it has now six famous brands above the municipal level, including "Mingfeng", "Dongchao" and "Lengjiang". The business income of the leisure fishing, brand fishing, fishing catering and fishing processing is now accounting for over 60% of the total aquatic breeding industry, demonstrating a leading and driving effect.
