Suitcase TV, a leader in software development for broadcast, has announced that it has received the IABM Design & Innovation Award for Acquisition & Production. The award was given for Suitcase TV's ground-breaking iphrame Vision Remote solution, which offers centralised production of outside broadcasts and other live events. It enables broadcasters to significantly reduce their costs by allowing key personnel to operate the system from virtually any location where there is an internet connection. Additional cost savings can be achieved because of the reduction in travel and transport costs of personnel and equipment. Only the cameras and associated technical teams need to be deployed on-site.

The technology is especially exciting for broadcasters who need to generate increased amounts of relevant content such as sporting and cultural events that weren't previously considered viable.

Celebrating 15 years in the industry, Suitcase TV received the award at a ceremony that took place at the RAI in Amsterdam during IBC. The company was up against stiff competition from some major players in acquisition and production.

The judging panel said of iphrame Vision Remote: This product is highly innovative and enables vastly new workflows offering flexibility and OPEX savings over conventional methods. Saving time and travel allows people to collaborate with greater ease.
