It's all fun and games, isn't it? The #WooliesWaterChallenge has taken South Africa by storm over the past 24 hours after three students made one of the most hilarious viral videos we've ever seen.
What is the #WooliesWaterChallenge? The trio exit a Woolworths store with a bottle of their branded water. All speaking English in a heavy accent, they take a sip from the receptacle. After a gulp of Woolies' water, they all begin to speak an incredibly posh dialect, nailing the Model C accent. The video satirises the store for the perception that it's targeted at white citizens.
The reaction has been mega: Woolworths have already offered to work with the learners on an upcoming marketing campaign it's quite nice to see them actually credit people behind an idea, for a change and it has also inspired hundreds of parody videos, too.
There's one particular clip that's doing the rounds on social media, which has got the whole country ready for round two of the #WooliesWaterChallenge. A white shopper by the name of Blake Dell pays for his water at the checkout, before taking a sip in front of the cashier.
Social media reacts to Woolworths hype And wouldn't you know it? His English accent morphs into perfect, fluent Zulu. Thus completing the challenge in reverse. We've all had a laugh and a joke about it, but this is the 21st century, social media age. A vast majority have found it funny, but others have raised concerns about the tone:

Dell certainly joins in the festivities and revels in the #WooliesWaterChallenge like a seasoned professional. Whatever your thoughts on this, we can all agree on one thing: It's a brilliant free advertising campaign for the retailer.
