Welcome to arguably the most memorable clip in the 2018 Million Dollar Challenge video! This specific clip, submitted by barista and adventurer, 28-year-old Connie Burgdorff from Chattanooga, Tenn., stood out because of the sincerity and authenticity captured in an everyday moment. That, ladies and gents, is what GoPro is all about. GoPro is not limited to extreme sports or the capture of something that puts you on the edge of your seat. It's about capturing those memorable, authentic moments.

GoPro: When did you first start using GoPro?

Connie: February 2013, HERO3 Black. My niece Brynlee was a year-and-a-half and was already doing cool stuff. I needed a camera that was small enough to take everywhere we went. At the time, she was at our house like every day. We became best adventure buddies. Since then, a GoPro is always with me

What's your day job?

I work at the Chattanooga Airport as a barista. We are the only coffee/restaurant in the airport. I work the a.m. shift. which is 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. Because of that I get the chance to spend a good part of the day with my sister's kids. That is my volunteer job.

How did you hear about the Million Dollar Challenge?

I stumbled across it while trying to buy something on the GoPro website.

What inspired your awarded clip?

My niece Ashley's excitement toward everything. She's always so energetic, and her love for animals is adorable. I wanted to share that with everyone.

Where were you when you found out your clip was chosen?

I was in bed when I found out my clip made the highlight video. So that was a great wake up call-literally!

I called my sister Kara right away to let her know Ashley made it. Now that I think about it, I don't think I showed her the video clip, so her first time seeing it was in the highlight video. For sure no one else knew about. I wanted it that way, though. I wanted GoPro to be the first to show it. Then, I showed the final highlight video to Ashley right after school. I'm pretty sure she forgot we even did that; she was only 2-haha!

What did you learn from the experience?

Being an awardee takes people by surprise when it comes up. No one expects it. I didn't. Like a lot of people, I thought you had to have a huge social following, be sponsored, spend money or go to exotic places to even be considered.

Aside from buying the camera, I didn't spend any money or travel, and I don't have a huge following, and somehow, I still won. My clip is simply of my 2-year-old niece doing her chicken chore. People enjoy hearing about that. GoPro made it so I could.

Are you planning on participating again this year?

If I am allowed to then yes! But I'm currently stumped at what to capture that would be as worthy as my other clip.
