Mammography with greater comfort and usability from Fujifilm

Fujifilm is a pioneer in diagnostic imaging and information systems for healthcare facilities, with a range of constantly evolving clinically proven products and technologies designed to assist medical professionals perform more efficiently and effectively. The company are pleased to announce the arrival of their latest Amulet s with improved usability for Radiographers and greater comfort for patients.
The new model Amulet s is suitable for routine examinations and incorporates Fujifilm's proprietary direct conversion Flat Panel Detector (FPD) and specially designed AWS (Acquisition Workstation) that allows the examination screen to be split between 1, 2 or 4 images on its specially designed portrait monitor.
The Amulet s is easy to use and gentle on the patient. It has arm rests and optional foam pads to provide well-balanced and gentle support to patients, and a single-touch function allowing the Amulet s to be automatically positioned to the desired swivel arm angle between exposures, which helps to speed up examination times.
Radiographers also benefit from the easy to operate buttons and colour LCD display on both the compression arm and at the foot of the unit, two simple design features that enhance operability significantly and help to further speed up examination times for the benefit of both Radiographer and patient.
Amulet s provides high quality images for easier and more accurate diagnosis, and incorporates Fujifilm's proprietary Direct Optical Switching' technology for excellent conversion efficiency, whilst new Image Analysis and Gradation Curve processing provides improved visualisation of the whole breast, making Amulet s an ideal choice for image-conscious mammography departments.
A full range of compression plates are available with the Amulet s, and both collimation and image output sizes are automatically adjusted to 18 x 24cm or 24 x 30cm as required.
