The Film Academy invites 491 Spanish and Latin American professionals joining the institution Inicia una campa a tiene como fines atraer generaciones m s j venes a la instituci n y ampliar la representatividad de las mujeres cineastas.
Yvonne Blake, Mariano Barroso y Nora Navas han hecho llegar en los ltimos d as, en representaci n de la Junta Directiva de la Academia, un escrito a 491 profesionales del cine espa ol y latinoamericano en el que se les invita a formar parte de la instituci n. Esta carta es el recordatorio de que estamos unidos por el sue o del cine y de que contigo nuestra misi n ser m s f cil , apunta la comunicaci n.
Esta invitaci n de profesionales, que se sumar an a los 1.300 miembros que ya forman la Academia, atiende a un punto clave en el programa de la actual terna presidencial que pretende aumentar la presencia de j venes entre los miembros de la instituci n, ampliar la representatividad de las mujeres cineastas y atraer a la instituci n a profesionales que desarrollan su trabajo fuera de Madrid y Barcelona, tanto en otras comunidades aut nomas como en Latinoam rica.
De los 491 profesionales invitados, 205 son mujeres, lo que supone un 41,54% del total. De esta manera, la instituci n busca hacer m s part cipes a las mujeres de la industria cinematogr fica espa ola dentro de la instituci n.
Coincidiendo con La Academia del Cine en Red', proyecto que pretende ampliar la oferta de actividades de la entidad fuera de las ciudades de Madrid y Barcelona creando una red de instituciones asociadas en comunidades aut nomas con alta densidad audiovisual' como Euskadi, Galicia, Andaluc a, Comunidad Valenciana y las Islas Canarias, la instituci n ha hecho llegar la invitaci n a un alto n mero de profesionales ubicados en estas localizaciones.
La Academia pretende tambi n impulsar su recorrido abri ndose a los cineastas latinoamericanos, poco despu s de la constituci n formal de la Federaci n Iberoamericana de Academias del Cine (FIACINE), que tiene por objetivos promover el reconocimiento de los cines iberoamericanos, crear nuevas audiencias, fomentar la presencia del cine en la escuela, facilitar los encuentros e intercambios entre los creadores y profesionales y favorecer el desarrollo de ofertas legales en el universo digital.
En la carta que la terna presidencial ha hecho llegar a estos profesionales se les asegura que la Academia debe ser la casa de todos los que nos dedicamos al cine. Debe ser un lugar abierto, activo y transparente. Una referencia nacional e internacional. Un lugar que se renueve cada d a para trazar nuestro futuro; que recoja inquietudes; que genere actividades e ilusiones; y que con su transparencia y con sus actos suscite el orgullo que nuestro cine merece .
Tras la primera invitaci n de miembros, llevada a cabo el pasado diciembre, han pasado a formar parte de la instituci n los directores Jaime Rosales, Paula Ortiz y Carlos Vermut; y los actores Ricardo Darin, Aura Garrido, Hugo Silva, Michelle Jenner y Pedro Casablanc. Del mismo modo se han incorporado los guionistas Diego San Jos , Borja Cobeaga y Jorge Guerricaechevarr a; los productores Enrique Cerezo, Beatriz Bodegas, xel Kuschevatzky, Ram n Colom y Sergi Moreno; y la dise adora de vestuario Sonia Grande.
