kykNET released the teaser for Die Real Housewives van Pretoria on Monday 12 September. The upcoming series marks the fifth instalment of the reality show in Africa behind Johannesburg, Durban, Lagos, and Cape Town. Following the release of the teaser, social media users are not looking forward to the Die Real Housewives van Pretoria. Tweeps were quick to point out that there were no African cast members in the upcoming series.

KYKNET ANNOUNCES DIE REAL HOUSEWIVES VAN PRETORIA' Die Real Housewives van Pretoria is set to be a 13-part series where six women from the capital city will show off their expensive diamonds, high-end clothing and luxury vehicles. kykNET's director of channels, Waldimar Pelser, said the channel wanted to showcase a group of strong Afrikaans women from Pretoria.

These women live large and know the beautiful things in life. This is a rare chance to get to know them intimately and walk in their shoes, said Pelser.

The series will be produced by Provoco, a production company that produced Showmax's Sex in Afrikaans.

Die Real Housewives van Pretoria is set to premiere on 13 October.
