Times Square revelers to ring in 2014 with AP video and poll For the third year in a row, The Associated Press will be at the heart of New York City's largest annual celebration, presenting a video recap of the year's key moments at New Year's Eve in Times Square.

The fast-paced video featuring AP's coverage of the definitive moments of 2013 will be shown before the midnight Ball Drop -- at approximately 11:15 p.m. ET on the Toshiba Vision Screen under the ball and on the seven mobile LED screens located throughout Times Square. The video, with brief opening remarks by AP President and CEO Gary Pruitt, will also play at various times throughout the evening via Livestream.

In addition, the AP teamed with the event's co-organizers, Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment, on a poll that captured public sentiment about global events in news, entertainment, sports and pop culture in 2013. The AP-Times Square New Year's Eve Poll is nationally representative and meets AP's strong methodological standards, producing a scientifically sound look at how Americans viewed the past year and highlights their expectations for 2014.

The Times Square 2013 webcast, produced in partnership with Livestream, will be streamed on multiple websites including TimesSquareNYC.org, Livestream.com and TimesSquareBall.net. According to event organizers, there were more than 1.2 million unique viewers of last year's webcast.
