The Samsung Smart Motorsport Team Get Set for the First Race of the Porsche Carrera Cup Season on Mar 29, 2013

The Samsung Smart Motorsport Team will be making its racing debut at Brands Hatch this weekend, at the first race of the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup season, taking part in the landmark 200th race of the sport's eleven year history in Britain. In partnership with InterGTM, Samsung will enter two of Porsches dynamic 911 GT3 sports cars in each of the 20 races, one for reigning Carrera Cup champion, Michael Meadows (no. 1) and the other car for sports car rookie, Richard Kent (no. 11) who joins after racing single seaters in the US.

The Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship embodies qualities Samsung believes are key to its own success, combining an ambition to be the best in its field with a culture of speed. That success is determined by the skill of the drivers appealed to Samsung's ethos of constantly pushing the boundaries in performance to create the ultimate experience.

The creation of the Samsung Smart Motorsport team has allowed the brand to apply its technology to the enjoyment and excitement of the sport through team enhancing technology, unique footage of the team in 4K, and expanding the British publics appreciation of the series. In celebration of Samsungs flagship Smart TVs for 2013 and the state-of-the-art UHD TV 85S9, which offers four times the resolution available on existing Full HD displays, the teams journey will be showcased at the races in Samsung's experiential space, consumer events, retail, and premium locations through the UK.

Samsungs participation in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship will see the brand bring its technology to each event through the Samsung Smart TV Discovery Lounge, an experiential road show offering race fans the opportunity to try some of Samsung's high performance TVs & audio technologies in the ultimate high energy setting.
