Die Jury des Deutschen Fernsehpreises 2019 hat die Nominierten im Bereich Fiktion bekannt gegeben und beide Eigenproduktionen von Turner Deutschland bedacht: Sowohl Arthurs Gesetz als auch 4 Blocks geh ren zu den Finalisten. W hrend das TNT Comedy Original Arthurs Gesetz in den Kategorien Beste Comedy-Serie und Beste Ausstattung (Birgitta Lohrer-Horres f r das Kost mbild, Markus Dicklhuber f r das Szenenbild) antritt, ist das TNT Serie Original 4 Blocks als Beste Drama-Serie nominiert. Der Deutsche Fernsehpreis wird am 31. Januar in D sseldorf verliehen, Barbara Sch neberger f hrt gemeinsam mit Steffen Hallaschka durch den Abend.

Die sechsteilige Miniserie wurde von TNT Comedy und der good friends Filmproduktions GmbH produziert. Sie ist die erste fiktionale Eigenproduktion f r TNT Comedy und dort am heutigen Dienstag, 18., sowie am 19. und 20. Dezember jeweils ab 20:15 Uhr in Doppelfolgen als deutsche TV-Premiere zu sehen.
Der Arbeitslose Arthur Ahnepol, gespielt von Jan Josef Liefers, fristet ein trostloses Dasein. Gezeichnet von den Strapazen seiner ungl cklichen Ehe und zu Tode gelangweilt, schmiedet er eines Tages einen riskanten Plan: Seine unausstehliche Gattin (Martina Gedeck) soll unter die Erde gebracht werden. Mit dem Geld aus der Lebensversicherung st nde einem Neustart mit seiner Geliebten nichts mehr im Wege. Doch ein ungeschriebenes Gesetz beherrscht das Leben des Pechvogels: Jedes von Arthur gel ste Problem hat ein weitaus Schlimmeres zur Folge. Und so tritt er eine Lawine desastr ser Ereignisse los.
Martina Gedeck (Das Leben der Anderen) und Nora Tschirner (Keinohrhasen, Tatort) sind neben Liefers (Tatort) in tragenden Rollen zu sehen. Weitere Charaktere verk rpern unter anderem Ronald Kukulies (Weinberg), Cristina do Rego (Pastewka, Doctor's Diary) und Robert Gallinowski (Nackt unter W lfen). Regie f hrte Christian Z bert (Lommbock), als Executive Producer fungieren Moritz von der Groeben und Nataly Kudiabor von good friends sowie auf Senderseite Anke Greifeneder und Hannes Heyelmann. F r die B cher zeichnen Benjamin Gutsche als Headautor sowie Ceylan Yildirim und Sebastian Bleyl verantwortlich, die Kamera bernahm Ngo The Chau.

Produziert von TNT Serie und Wiedemann & Berg Television war 4 Blocks bereits auf zahlreichen Festivals weltweit zu sehen und erhielt bisher 15 Auszeichnungen, darunter den Deutschen Fernsehpreis 2018 in drei Kategorien. TNT Serie wiederholt die Serie als Marathon am Montag, 31. Dezember ab 14:25 Uhr (Staffel 1), sowie an Silvester und am Dienstag, 1. Januar 2019 jeweils ab 20:15 Uhr (Staffel 2).
4 Blocks erz hlt eine Geschichte um Freundschaft und Familie, Verrat und Schuld im Milieu eines arabischen Clans in Berlin-Neuk lln. Im Zentrum steht der ebenso charismatische wie ehrgeizige Ali Toni Hamady (Kida Khodr Ramadan), der gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Kalila (Maryam Zaree) seine vier Blocks und die kriminellen Gesch fte hinter sich lassen wollte. In der zweiten Staffel hat sich f r seine Familie viel ver ndert: Abbas (Veysel Gelin) steht wegen Mordes vor Gericht, Amara (Almila Bagriacik) hat mit Latif (Massiv) einen Neuanfang gewagt und Toni kann endlich wie erhofft ins Immobiliengesch ft einsteigen. Doch seine Versuche, den Einfluss der Familie auszubauen, bringen nicht nur seine Ehe in Gefahr.
4 Blocks wurde von Wiedemann & Berg Television, TNT Serie und dem Autoren-Trio Hanno Hackfort, Bob Konrad, Richard Kropf sowie Marvin Kren entwickelt. In der zweiten Staffel - erneut von Hackfort, Konrad und Kropf geschrieben - f hrten Oliver Hirschbiegel (Der Untergang) und zg r Y ld r m (Nur Gott kann mich richten) Regie. Marvin Kren, der die erste Staffel inszenierte, fungierte neben Quirin Berg und Max Wiedemann sowie auf Senderseite Hannes Heyelmann und Anke Greifeneder als Executive Producer. Co-Executive Producer war Sven Miehe. Eine dritte und letzte Staffel ist bereits best tigt.
