Enligt Ifpi uppgick den totala musikf rs ljningen i Sverige till hela 2,2 miljarder kr i 2024, vilket var en kning med 6 procent j mf rt med f reg ende r. Tillv xten drevs i huvudsak av prenumerations- och reklamfinansierad ljudstreaming. Int kterna fr n streaming stod f r 94 procent av musikf rs ljningen och gick upp med 7 procent bara fr n f reg ende r. Denna tillv xt terspeglas ocks i Spotifys utbetalningar. Under 2024 genererade svenska artister ver 1,9 miljarder kronor i royalties enbart fr n Spotify j mf rt med knappt 1,8 miljarder 2023 - n stan en f rdubbling j mf rt med 2018.
Precis som f rra ret genererades h lften av utbetalningarna av indieartister eller oberoende skivbolag. Vidare kom 65 procent av utbetalningarna fr n streams utanf r Sverige, en kning fr n 60 procent under 2023, vilket understryker att svensk musikexport r fortsatt framg ngsrik.

Under 2024 genererade 530 svenska artister int kter p ver 500 000 kronor enbart fr n Spotify, en kning fr n 506 artister under 2023.
293 svenska artister genererade ver 1 miljon kronor, vilket r en f rdubbling j mf rt med 2018.
Antalet svenska artister som genererade ver 5 miljoner kronor i royalties fr n Spotify har mer n tredubblats sedan 2018.
Dessa siffror representerar int kter enbart fr n Spotify. Om man ven r knar in int kter ven fr n andra int ktsk llor f r inspelad musik, har dessa artister sannolikt genererat mer n fyra g nger detta belopp.
Kvinnliga artister i toppen
Under 2024 var 40 procent av de svenska artister som genererade ver 10 miljoner kronor p Spotify antingen kvinnliga artister eller band med b de m n och kvinnor. Sverige placerar sig d rmed som en av de fyra fr msta l nderna globalt n r det g ller kvinnlig representation i den h r int ktskategorin.
