PALO ALTO, Calif. - HP today announced its newfound union between event planning company The Event Connections and cloud-based customer communications management solution HP Relate.

Comprising more than 80 wedding and special events professionals across Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio, The Event Connections is a modern-day concierge service that arranges appointments and serves as a liaison connecting vendors and those creating events. The company joins those planning weddings, socials, corporate events, fundraisers, meetings and more with vendors that offer services like catering, travel and accommodations, design and d cor, and venues. The Event Connections also offers a 5,000-square foot facility for hosting weekly corporate events, meetings, seminars, dances and weddings.

As a part of its services, The Event Connections creates personalized customer communications and venue contracts for clients planning events, as well as leases and membership agreements, and other documents for its member vendors.

For two years, the company relied heavily on word processing programs and spreadsheet applications along with an in-house library of boilerplate text for generating documents. This often required staff to spend an hour or more creating client communications and lengthened the time required to deliver them.

An extension of the HP Exstream customer communications management solution, HP Relate is a cloud-based offering that integrates with Salesforce to create and deliver compelling, highly personalized customer communications, including sales quotes, proposals, direct marketing and correspondences.

With HP Relate, The Event Connections has not only reduced the time it takes to develop vendor agreements and contracts by as much as 95 percent, but staff is now able to spend more time on strategic initiatives-including a wedding concierge service-and developing personal relationships with their clients planning events.
