InfoComm Recap - Interactive Showstopper

Ventuz was present at InfoComm Las Vegas not only on our joint booth with 3Monkeys and Mediascreen, but also with multi-touch installations at several prime locations.

Last week marked an important point in time for the entire AV technology industry: the 75th anniversary of InfoComm. To celebrate this event, 3Monkeys equipped the organization's booth at their trade fair in Las Vegas with an interactive Ventuz installation, displayed on the famous Monkeybook, a multi-touch glass projection terminal. The presentation gave insight into the history of InfoComm and allowed users to dynamically navigate through the special events of 75 years of fine technology exhibitions.

Additionally, we provided what turned out to be a real showstopper of the trade show, a car configurator created together with 3DXite (formerly RTT) for the booth of Christie Digital. The installation consisted of a model of a Corvette at a 20th of its original size. Four projectors illuminated the car model from all sides. Backdrop behind and floor underneath the car were made of Christie Microtiles. Via a touchscreen in front of the installation, the user could choose between different car configurations, backdrop images and informational content, which were then dynamically displayed in real-time. To top things off, the user could email his favorite configuration to himself, to make sure never to forget this unique experience.

An multi-touch installation by 3Monkeys created in Ventuz was also shown at the booth of Planar. The interactive presentation featured an architectural model of a multipurpose hall. The building could be scaled and rotated, and on closer look revealed a variety of in depth information.

But of course, if you wanted to experience the entirety of Ventuz, our joint booth with 3Monkeys and Mediascreen was the place to go and it was buzzing with people. Next to our latest release of Ventuz, which includes new features such as the Topology Editor, we showed a number of great installations. Mediascreen brought their 100 holoscreen, which was not only made interactive by a rotation laser device, but also displayed all content in stereo3d. 3Monkeys provided their excellent design skills for the display banner and the many demo scenes.
