2026 US Open Launches Fan Activations Across New York City

The 2026 US Open will bring a series of free fan activations across New York City ahead of and during the tournament, which runs August 23-September 13.

We're bringing the authentic, spectacular' experience of the US Open directly to fans across the five boroughs and to everyone watching at home, says Nicole Kankam, Managing Director of Pro Tennis Marketing and Entertainment, USTA. Celebrating our New York Story' is about honoring the deep-rooted connection between the US Open, the city we call home and, most importantly, the fans. Each of these activations will deliver first-time and long-time fans the energy, the excitement and spirit of the US Open in so many new and exciting ways, all with New York City as the unmistakable backdrop.

US Open Experience at Hudson Yards (August 30-September 5, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. daily)

The free weeklong activation at Hudson Yards' Main Plaza will include two Red Ball tennis courts with equipment provided by Wilson; Advantage Arena, a gaming area featuring Roblox, Fortnite, Tennis Clash, and TIEBREAK Grand Slam Edition; a Player Tunnel and Champions' Photo Experience; live theme art creation by 2026 US Open theme artist Eugenia Mello during the first two days; an official merchandise store with daily giveaways of match-used tennis balls to select early purchasers; the Grey Goose Honey Deuce cocktail served by Dickinson's Farm Stand; interactive partner experiences including Heineken 0.0, La Roche-Posay, Lavazza, Peloton, and Polo Ralph Lauren; nightly DJ sets from 5-8 p.m.; and ESPN's coverage of the US Open on a big screen.

US Open Free Ice Cream Truck (August 17-21)

The US Open's first traveling ice cream truck will visit public park tennis courts in each of the five boroughs, serving chocolate and vanilla soft-serve and ice pops. The schedule is as follows: August 17, NYJTL Cary Leeds Center, Crotona Park, Bronx (noon-4 p.m.); August 18, Riverside Park Tennis Courts, Upper West Side, Manhattan (1-6 p.m.); August 19, McCarren Park Tennis Courts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (1-6 p.m.); August 20, Silver Lake Tennis Courts, Staten Island (1-6 p.m.); August 21, Astoria Park Tennis Courts, Astoria, Queens (3-6 p.m.).

Rally the Boroughs

Rally the Boroughs is a five-episode competition series on the US Open's YouTube channel following three teams of tennis fans racing across all five boroughs to complete tennis-themed challenges at New York City landmarks. The winner receives tickets to the 2026 US Open Singles Finals. The series premieres August 15, with new episodes dropping each Saturday through September 12.
