Milena Smit, Jose Coronado and Aixa Villagr n head the cast of this thriller based on the bestseller of the same name by Javier Castillo.

Netflix announced today the January premiere of The Snow Girl, its new series based on the bestseller by Javier Castillo.

At pica Films produces for Netflix this six-episode thriller starring Milena Smit (Parallel Mothers,Cross the Line), Jose Coronado (The Innocent, The Body), Aixa Villagr n (Vida perfecta, Crazy About Her), Trist n Ulloa (Fari a, Pudor) Loreto Maule n (Patria, Air Kisses), Juli n Villagr n (Extraterrestrial), Ra l Prieto (Antidisturbios) y Cecilia Freire (Velvet), among others.

Based on the best-selling novel by Javier Castillo, published by Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial and with more than one million copies sold in Spain, La chica de nieve is adapted for the screen by Jes s Mesas and Javier Andr s Roig (Deudas, Estoy vivo) and directed by David Ulloa (La caza. Monteperdido) and Laura Alvea ( nimas).

The series was shot between Malaga and Madrid and will arrive on Netflix in January.

Synopsis:

Malaga, 2010, Three Wise Men parade. The most magical moment of the year turns into a nightmare for the Mart n family when their daughter Amaya disappears in the crowd. Miren (Milena Smit), a trainee journalist, begins an investigation parallel to that of Inspector Mill n (Aixa Villagr n) that will awaken aspects of her past that she would have liked to forget. With the help of her journalist colleague Eduardo (Jos Coronado), Miren will not stop until she finds the girl. Where is Amaya Mart n?
